Newport Health & Wellbeing provides support and care to individuals, couples, children and families in our community. We are a group of experienced clinicians in the mental health and education field who have established a new multidisciplinary practice. We come from a variety of professional backgrounds including psychology, social work and family therapy.

Newport Health & Wellbeing Centre has experienced significant growth over the past three years and is looking for contract clinicians (psychologists and social workers) who are interested in working with Newport Counselling & Psychology Service. Professionals who have recently graduated or have previous counselling experience will be offered ongoing supervision and support (clinical and administrative) in this role and be referred clients on a regular basis.

COST: $240 - 6 Week Program + $60 Administration & Booking Fee
Weekly $40 per week (Medicare Rebate $19, therefore $21 per group out of pocket with referral from your GP)

The Being Held program is a professional, clinically based program delivered by qualified therapists. The program offers many modalities; experiential learning, didactic teaching, video recordings of mothers and their babies and the opportunity for shared reflection. Women are asked to complete three clinical written assessments at the commencement of the group and are also invited to participate in a video recording of themselves and their infant at the start of the program. By the end of the program we can share early videos for discussion, debriefing and reflection.
