Lindsay is a Clinical Psychologist with a background in various public health settings, working with children, adolescents, and adults who experience relationship difficulties, grief/loss, stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other emotional and behavioural difficulties.
She has a strong interest in perinatal and infant mental health, and understands the importance of appropriately managing times of intense emotional adjustment, at various stages throughout the lifespan.
Lindsay is also passionate about working with families and couples as she recognizes that individuals don’t often experience difficulties in isolation, regardless of how alone they may feel at the time. When working with families, Lindsay recognizes the need to be flexible in her approach to assessment and therapy, building on the strengths of each family member as well as the family as a unit, while supporting efforts to manage and modify difficulties and relationship issues.
Lindsay uses a range of approaches to suit each unique client and family, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based therapies and Attachment-based interventions, among others. She is also a registered Circle of Security Parent Educator.
Lindsay has a supportive and respectful approach to therapy, and focuses on offering a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to learn about themselves, and their interactions with others, through increased self-awareness.
