Newport Health & Wellbeing (NHW) is committed to providing a confidential and professional service in a safe environment where all people are treated in a respectful, nurturing and supportive manner. All our clinicians are qualified professionals with experience and skills in a variety of areas. We provide support and care to individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families in our community.
Not everyone needs support all the time, however, sometimes when people are having difficulties they find it can be useful to speak with someone who will not judge them and who will offer them some support during difficult times.

BEING HELD PROGRAM
The Being Held program is a professional, clinically based program delivered by qualified therapists. The program offers many modalities; experiential learning, didactic teaching, video recordings of mothers and their babies and the opportunity for shared reflection. Women are asked to complete three clinical written assessments at the commencement of the group and are also invited to participate in a video recording of themselves and their infant at the start of the program. By the end of the program we can share early videos for discussion, debriefing and reflection.
